GratiTour Day 1
Monday's activities: Driving up the coast, seeing hundreds of Elephant Seals, exploring, climbing rocks, and taking a sunset walk down the beach in Monterey, and devotions.

GratiTour Packing List
See post below about our GratiTour! Here is the packing list:
-warm, comfortable clothes for 5 days
-a light jacket & sweatshirt
-bathing suit
-a Bible (don't forget it!!)
-toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
-comfortable shoes (we will be bike-riding)
-money for fast food meals
-money for souvenirs (worthy momentoes, not frivolous junk)
*Cell phones are allowed, but keep them hidden. No frivolous texting, or it will be taken.
*Kindles are allowed, but be very careful not to lose them.
*No iPods or hand-held video games allowed.

GratiTour This Week!
This week the 7th graders, their parents, Mrs. Barr, Pastor Steve, Mr. Thompson, and I have the amazing opportunity to travel up the coast for our greatly anticipated GratiTour. This tour will focus on being grateful to God for the things we often overlook in life.
*We will be leaving Monday at 7:00am SHARP from the school. Don't be late! :) We will return on Friday.
Here are some things we will be doing and places we will be visiting:
-Sightseeing along the coast
-Monterey Bay Aquarium
-Santa Cruz Boardwalk (& rollercoaster)
-Pirate's Cove
-Half Moon Bay
-Mavericks Beach (home of some of the biggest waves in the world)
-Cliff House in San Francisco
-Rowboating & Rollerskating in Golden Gate Park
-Cal Berkeley University
-The Palace of Fine Arts
-Bicycling from Fisherman's Wharf across the Golden Gate Bridge
-Grace Cathedral (San Fran)
-St. Mary's Cathedral (San Fran)
-Market Street
-Stanford University

Another 50/50 Raffle!
The 7th Graders are selling$1 raffle tickets for our week-long field trip up North. The raffle will be held at the talent show next week. If you have the winning ticket, you get 50% of all the profits from the raffle ticket sales! Last time, a 6th grade parent won over $100! Anyone can buy tickets at the front office.

State Testing This Week 4/15 - 4/17
State testing will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week. Make sure you get a good night's sleep each night and eat breakfast each morning! If you arrive late and we have already started testing, you will have to wait until the test is done in the office. There will be no make-ups.You can do it!
