3 Needs for the Harvest Carnival

Hope International University Field Trip

On November 5th we will be going on a field trip to Hope International University in Fullerton with the 8th grade class.  This is the University where Mr. Williams' wife works and Pastor Todd attended.  We realize this trip will closely follow the NASA field trip, but it will be the last field trip before Christmas break.  Here is the information.

Grandparents Day Celebration

We will celebrate Grandparent's Day in chapel next Wednesday, October 14th.  Grandparents are welcome to join us! There will be refreshments in our classroom afterwards.

We need parents to bring snacks or juice! Pretty please. :)

Just a reminder - Students, your cell model projects are due TUESDAY 10/13! You received a list of requirements in class.  It is worth 30 points.  I can't wait to see your creativity!

Monday, October 26^{th –} Pasadena

Cost: Free! (Parking is also free.) Just bring a sack lunch.

Students will start school at 8:30am as usual.

Drivers, please meet at the school at 10:15am.

Our tour is from 1:00pm – 3:30pm, but we will picnic at a nearby park beforehand.

Return Time: 4:45 – 5:30, depending on traffic

DRCS Harvest Carnival

Friday October 30th

5pm to 9pm

Featuring great food, carnival games, live music, a raffle, & costumes! (Nothing scary/bloody and no real or fake weapons allowed).

Parents, we will need volunteers to help with our 7th grade booth for 1/2 hour time slots.  :) 

Want to raise money for our end of the year trip?  Bring a raffle prize or gift card for our Harvest Carnival (new, at least a $10 value) and part of the money earned from the raffle will go towards your account. Students, you received a letter you can hand out to business owners asking them to donate a prize for you, or you can purchase it on your own.  You can also earn money by selling raffle tickets in advance starting October 12th.
