Week of Oct. 28th - Nov. 1st

This week...

• Literature essay due Thursday, worth 125 points! Must be 2 pages. Make sure to follow directions so you don't lose points.
• History test Thursday (Ancient Rome)
• Math test (Chapter 3) Friday. After school help will be available Tuesday and Thursday this week to practice for the test.
• Science extra credit essay due Friday. Requirements will be passed out tomorrow.
• End of the quarter is Friday. All missing assignments must be turned in by then.
• Half day Friday! Students will be dismissed at 11:30am.

The Getty Field Trip

We'll be going to the Getty Museum in LA this coming Tuesday, October 22nd!  Drivers are needed.  Admission is free but students will need to bring money for lunch at In N Out.  We will be leaving at 8am sharp!

Parent Meeting

There is a mandatory parent meeting tonight for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade parents about fund-raising at 7:00pm in the auditorium.  One parent/guardian for each child must attend.

Art Club!

Last week we went outside and drew the trees in front of the pre-school.  Technique: Cross hatching. Great job, guys!

Important Dates

• Car wash tomorrow! Please participate so we can raise enough money for everyone to go on the GratiTour at the end of the year.  See post below for more details.
• All 7th grade students received their current grades and missing assignments for math and science today. 
•  Progress reports get mailed out on Wednesday to all parents.
• Cell model projects and history culture reports are both due Wednesday, Oct. 9th.  
• Science Chapter 3 Test this Tuesday, Oct. 8th
• Mandatory Parent meeting on Monday, Oct. 14th at 7pm (about field trips).
