Christmas

One of today's Bible questions was "Why is Christmas so extraordinary?" Here are some responses from my students.

"Christmas is so extraordinary because Jesus gave us a gift. That gift was a second chance. It's not about getting; it's about giving and what you give." -Hunter Wantz

"Christmas is extraordinary because it is the birth of our Creator, God. Easter is also important but without Christmas, Easter would not exist and Satan would have power over us." -Kaitlyn Whisner

"Christmas is so extraordinary because it is about Jesus' birth. Jesus came to the world to die for us and save us, and that is the greatest gift of Christmas." -Christian Monreal

"It is extraordinary because Jesus came to be born. He gives us the gift of salvation, being with our family, eating with them, going to church with them and giving to each other. We wouldn't have a Christmas is Jesus didn't come to basically die for our sins." -Jacob Reyes

"Most people think it's about getting presents, but it's about giving to others. We get presents on Jesus' birthday (Christmas) but we don't deserve them." -David Bailey
