Valentine's Day Party & Chapel Skit

February 14th - Valentine's Day Party (Ice Cream Party) during lunch.  Please bring something to share with the class.

February 15th - 7th Grade will be performing a skit in chapel called "God Rescues Through His Position".  Parents are welcome to attend this short skit.

February Updates

• Bible: Starting Thursday, February 2nd, Mrs. McWells will present to the middle school students (6th - 8th) a four-week Bible study on Thursdays and Fridays called "Search for Significance" by Robert McGee.  This study focuses on building one's self-worth by embracing God's love and forgiveness.  Students will still go through their normal Bible curriculum on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Chapel is still on Wednesdays.
• February 1st - Honor Roll Chapel 8:45am.  Students who are receiving Honor Roll received a letter that was to go to parents informing them.
• February 4th - Applebee's Pancake Fundraiser for 5th - 8th Grade. See office for tickets to sell. Funds will go towards our overnight field trips.
• February 10th - Father Daughter Dance. Buy tickets in the office.
• February 13th - No School - Lincoln's Birthday
• February 20th - No School - President's Day
• February 22nd - Speech Meet, 3rd Quarter Progress Reports sent home
• February 24th - School Spirit Day: Sports or Uniform Dress Up Day

January Updates

• January 10th - 7th Grade Genetic Disorder Oral Presentations due, SOCCER starts for grades 4th - 8th 

• January 16th - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, NO SCHOOL

• January 20th - HALF DAY, End of 2nd Quarter, School Spirit Day: Twin Dress Up Day

• January 21st - Church/School Volunteer Work Day (painting, tree trimming, etc.) 

• January 25th - Report Cards mailed out

• January 27th - Spelling Bee for grades 5-8 only

Christmas Program

DRCS K - 8TH CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

When:  Thurs. Dec. 8th

Where: The Way World Outreach (Hallmark St. in San Bernardino)

Time:  Students need to arrive at 6:00pm (drama students may need to arrive earlier).  Performance starts at 6:30pm.

Cost: None, although a free will offering will be taken.

Student Attire:  Chapel attire in black, white, red, or any combination of those colors.

*Attendance is mandatory for all students.

• Tuesday, September 13th: School Picture Day & Parent Fundraising Meeting at 6:30pm in the auditorium.

• Saturday, September 17th:  Annual School Picnic 10am - 1pm @ Littlefield Shultis Park on Kendall and Wagonwheel.  FREE BBQ lunch! Bouncehouse, chili cook-off, watermelon eating contest, sack race, volleyball, raffles, free snow cones and cotton candy.
